ABOUT

Advocating for a healthy community.

Tobacco Free SLO is a tool created to support our local Tobacco Control Coalition to create a healthier County of San Luis Obispo community. In 1990, San Luis Obispo was the first city in the world to ban smoking in public restaurants and bars because of the community members advocating for a health community.

Since then, the work continues. We advocate for smoke-free policies, educate on the harm of cigarette butts in our beautiful outdoor spaces, and work to protect community members from second-hand smoke. We assist the County of San Luis Obispo Tobacco Control Program to promote education, prevention, and cessation projects to our community.

We invite you to join the Tobacco Control Coalition in our work to improve the health of our community.
